A Chocolate Egg for Captain Richard Phillips

A chocolate egg for Captain Richard Phillips was saved for him by his family. Now it seems the brave Captain will have a chance to eat that chocolate egg.

The Captain was rescued today from pirates off the coast of Africa by sharp shooting Navy seals.  Captain Phillips had been captive of the pirates since Wednesday when they tried to take over his container ship Maersk Alabama.

During the negoiation process Andrea Phillips, the captains’ wife, sent him a message that said, “Richard your family loves you, your family is praying for you, your family is saving a chocolate Easter egg for you unless your son eats it first”.

After weeks of tragic news reports of killings, kidnappings and devastation we finally have a story with a happy ending. A chocolate egg is such a little thing but it certainly can hold a lot of faith.
