Rowenta-I Finally Found My Dream Steam Iron

This last weekend I finally found a clothes steam iron to love; a Rowenta.
I was an out of town guest at my cousin’s home in Central New York. Since the flight there included a change of planes, I decided to fore go the worry of losing my luggage and “rolled” all my clothes into one carry-on bag.
In theory my “rolled” clothes were suppose to unroll wrinkle free and be ready to wear but of course that didn’t happen.
My cousin set up her ironing board for me and plugged in her Rowenta steam iron. It was love at first touch.
Not only does the Rowenta iron like a dream, it felt right in my hand. Have you ever picked an iron up in a department store and knew by the heft of it you’d never be satisfied? Well, when you pick up a Rowenta you can tell by the feel that it is sturdy and efficient.
The steam just poured out of the iron and my cousin said you could use it to free steam your hanging garments too! The Rowenta is a little pricier than other brands but would be well worth the extra.
I finally found my dream steam iron. My search ends with Rowenta.

Today marks the completion of the Avon Walk for Breast Cancer held in Washington, DC over the weekend. 39 miles in 2 days is the goal, with teams doing fundraising to raise money for research.
According to their website, the participants will “walk up to 26.2 miles on Saturday, and 13.1 miles on Sunday—all so that medically-underserved women and men can get the medical care they need and leading research teams can receive vital support for their ongoing search for a cure. The Avon Foundation places a priority on returning funds to the geographic area in which each Avon Walk takes place with a special emphasis on reaching low-income, elderly and minority individuals and those with inadequate health insurance.”
