A recession pedicure is the perfect way to welcome spring. Gone are the days of weekly pedicures for many people (men included), but a pedicure is one luxury that can easily be duplicated at home.

Here’s how to give yourself a recession pedicure in only 6 steps!

Step 1.  Remove any old nail polish.

Step 2.  Soak you feet in a solution of warm water and white vinegar (One capful per each quart of water) for 5 minutes.

Step 3. Dry feet and remove dead skin with pumice stone.

Step 4. Trim and shape the nails. Trim straight across with rounded corners or shape into all rounded, whichever you prefer.

Step 5. Push cuticle back with orange stick.

Step 6. Polish nails. Pick your favorite color of nail polish and apply two even coats to each nail. If you prefer not to wear color but want just a little shimmer, apply Vaseline to your nails. Vaseline will also protect against drying.

There! You’re toes are beautiful and you saved enough money to put towards a pretty pair of sandals to show them off. Thanks to the recession pedicure!
