Using Acai Berry for Weight Loss – Does it Work?

If you’re using acai berry for anti-aging, good for you, but if you’re using acai berry for weight loss, you may be unsuccessful.
Acai is a deep purple berry that has the taste of a mixture of wild berries and chocolate.
Anthocyanin in the berries give them their lush, purple color. Anthocyanins are strong antidioxidants that may help the body fight against cancer, diabetes, aging, bacterial infections and inflammation.
Still, researchers have not found a connection between the pricey acai berry and weight loss. Oprah, herself, has posted a comment on her website disassociating herself from products that claim weight loss.
There are many other lower priced antioxidant rich fruits and vegetables that have the same health benefits as the acai berry.
You can use the acai berry for weight loss as long as it’s included in a nutrious diet program. By itself, it’s not the “miracle weight loss” food so many of us have been hoping to find.
Lockport High School Near Chicago Locked Down
Lockport High School’s Central Campus remains locked down after a “chemical, improvised device with possible toxic substances” was found in a hallway, according to officials in the Lockport Township High School District 205.
Nine students and a staff member were being treated for possible exposure to their eyes and skin.
The school was locked down at 7:42 this morning after the device was found. The official statement said a plastic bottle was releasing black smoke and possibly chemicals as the students were starting the school day.
One freshman student told his father someone threw a pop bottle from the third floor onto the students walking in the hallway below.
Lockport High School’s Central Campus is at 1222 Jefferson St. The district’s East Campus at 1333 E. Seventh St. was also searched as a precautionary measure according to school officials. That campus was placed on “Code Yellow”, which restricts movement to essential personnel until Lockport police decide the building is safe for students and staff members.
