Great Halloween Party

The hottest days of August and my mind is drifting to fall and a great Halloween party! I’m thinking Halloween with a twist.

Don’t you think “come as you are parties” are so much fun for the hosts and just dreadful for the invitees?  Do they even have “come as you are parties” anymore?

Well, this year my guests will get a written invitation to my Halloween costume party so they can plan ahead. The invitation will read, “You’re invited to a come as the person you’ve always wanted to be Halloween costume party.”

Knowing my friends, I’m sure a few really unique characters will show up. There may even be a few that’ll shock my hair grayer! On the safer side though, I know one of my friends will definitely come as an astronaut and another as a chef. The guys will be a little harder to guess. I’m sure there’ll be a few football players or pirates. Without a doubt, Michael Jackson will be represented this year too.

If my husband doesn’t pick Harry Potter for himself, I’ll be really surprised.  As for myself, I want to be Elvira.

So my theme is ready, I can order my costume and then I’ll concentrate on the food and decorations. By the time October gets here, I’ll be more than ready.
