Recall on Food Network Chef Paula Deen’s Castiron Cookware
The NY Times reports a recall on food network channel TV chef Paula Deen’s castiron cookware.
The pieces involved in the recall were 3 pieces sold thru QVC. Customers who purchased the cast iron pans received letters from QVC informing them that the pans were being recalled because they can crack or shatter during heating.
Paula Deen is also the owner of The Lady and Sons Restaurant in Savannah, Ga. When I was there last week on vacation, my daughters and I tried to eat there but we were too late for reservations. Hopefully, next time! I’ve heard the food is really good!
The vice president for marketing of the company that supplied the pans exclusively to QVC, Meyer Trading Corporation, said those who bought any of the three pieces will get a refund and all other Paula Deen products are “safe for use”.
The recall on food network channel TV Chef Paula Deen’s castiron cookware will be announced on the Consumer Product Safety Commission’s website on Monday.
