Graco strollers canopy hinge slices off fingertips resulting in recall of 1.5 million products.

The Consumer Product Safety Commission said the products involved in the recall include the Graco Passage, Alano and Spree strollers and travel systems.

Graco Children’s Products  received five reports of fingertip amputations and two reports of lacerations caused when children placed their fingers in the strollers canopy hinge mechanism.

Consumers should immediately stop using the recalled strollers and contact Graco for a free protective cover repair kit.

Only two months ago, Maclaren recalled strollers as a result of fingertip amputations too.

Graco strollers canopy hinge slices off fingertips resulting in recall but Maclaren’s recall was due to hinges involved in the opening and closing of strollers.
