chefWatch for Food Network’s Iron Chef America on White House turf January 3rd with First Lady Michelle Obama.

White House Executive Chef Cristeta Comerford will team up with Food Network star Bobby Flay to compete against Iron Chefs Mario Batali and Emeril Lagasse.

Their challenge will be to create a meal for America. First Lady Michelle Obama will make an appearance and reveal the secret ingredient for the challenge is anything grown in the White House garden.

Each team of chefs must produce five dishes that showcase the ingredients they select from the garden and represents the ultimate American meal.

The judges for the competition include chef  Nigella Lawson, Olympic gold medalist Natalie Coughlin and actress, Jane Seymour.

It’s sure to be an interesting show. Tune in and see the special Iron Chef America on White House turf January 3rd with First Lady Michelle Obama at 8pm ET.
