Meet Hooper Our Paws to the Rescue Sweetheart

Please meet Hooper our Paws to the Rescue sweetheart.

We searched and searched online to find the perfect dog for us and of course, we knew it had to be a pound dog. Luckily, we found Hooper at the Paws to the Rescue shelter in Mullins, SC and brought him home the week before Christmas

We were told Hooper is part Springer Spaniel and part Border Collie. He is 100% sweet! Poor baby was extremely timid when he first came home but day by day he is developing into an outgoing fella.

Hooper loves his walks on the beach with his Daddy and that is where he seems happiest. There he barks and jumps like other dogs but is still skittish in certain rooms of his home and cowers at loud noises

Everyday brings positive results though. His tail wags when one of us comes home and he knows evening time is cuddling time. I’m trying to teach him to play ball but he doesn’t have a clue what that is all about but I am persistent. I throw the ball and fetch it myself  while all the time asking him to play ball with Mommy. Some day, I know, he will play.
