It seems contradictory but you can protect your bladder continence by drinking water!

We eat foods that are irritants to our bladders everyday. Some of the most common culprits are coffee, vinegar, chocolate, and citrus fruits. When our bladders are irritated, the urge to urinate increases along with increased frequency of urination.

Even if you don’t drink the generally prescribed 64 oz. of water a day, try to drink a full glass with or before each meal.

Water helps to flush our urinary systems. The better hydrated we are, the more diluted the irritants will be!

Urinary incontinence (UI) affects more than 13 million Americans. Loss of bladder control can be brought on by aging, stroke, Parkinson’s disease and other conditions.

Sufferers tend to limit their activities to avoid embarrassing situations. UI is an emotional as well as physical condition.

Good bladder health is important. Protect your bladder continence by drinking water and avoiding foods that may irritate it.
