singThe legal clarification on ownership of the suppressed gems in MJ’s song vault will be the only hold up before new Michael Jackson music is heard.

There are reports that Michael Jackson had a vast amount of unreleased music that his fans will be able to enjoy for years to come.

Sony Music owns the distribution rights to Jackson’s music and Tommy Mottola, Sony CEO from 1998 to 2003 said, “There are dozens and dozens of songs that did not end up on his albums. People will be hearing a lot of that unreleased material for the first time ever. There’s just some genius and brilliance in there.”

Mottola added the releases “could go on for years and years–even more than Elvis.”

Some of the vault material includes unused tracks from Michael’s previous bestselling albums and newer recordings of songs with R&B singer Akron and will.i.am of the Black Eyed Peas.

Since Michael Jackson’s death, his music has been in unprecedented demand. Nielsen SoundScan said Wednesday that three of his records ,”Number Ones”, “Essential Michael Jackson” and “Thriller” were the best selling albums of the week and 2.3 million tracks of his have been downloaded in the U.S. alone.

The King of Pop may be gone but thankfully his music will live on for a long, long time. Watch MSNBC video of Jackson’s Rehearsal Video clip less than 48 hours before his death-

lisaMichael Jackson’s ex wife, Lisa Marie Presley, blogs on MySpace that Michael feared his end would be like Elvis.

“Years ago Michael and I were having a deep conversation about life in general,” Lisa, 41, writes. “He stared at me very intensely and he stated with an almost calm certainty, “I am afraid that I am going to end up like [Elvis Presley], the way he did.” I promptly tried to deter him from the idea, at which point he just shrugged his shoulders and nodded almost matter of fact as if to let me know, he knew what he knew and that was kind of that.”

Presley writes and remembers her ex husband saying, “He was an amazing person and I am lucky to have gotten as close to him as I did and to have had the many experiences and years that we had together. I desperately hope that he can be relieved from his pain, pressure and turmoil now. He deserves to be free from all of that and I hope he is in a better place or will be.”

Michael Jackson and Lisa Marie were married in the Dominican Republic in May 1994. The marriage ended 20 months later.
